Opportunities for Volunteer and Committee work
We encourage a representative from each member organization to volunteer for at least one committee. Committee work can expand your network of clients/customers as well as your chamber resources. The time commitment is minimal and the results can be rewarding and fun.

Legislative Committee The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce Legislative Update series typically presents a panel of elected officials. Panel members present an update of the discussions and decisions they are involved in that affect all of us locally and statewide.
You don't have to like "politics" to attend! The Chamber believes that it is important for business leaders to spend time hearing about the laws our representatives are creating and how they are spending our money. These issues will impact on us personally, on our businesses, and on the communities we live in.
The panel members will also have an opportunity to hear what we have to say. We may affect their future decisions. Come prepared to ask questions, make helpful suggestions, or present issues.
All Legislative Updates are held from 8:00-9:30 a.m. on the third Friday of January, March, May, and October. Coffee & pastries will be served. There is no charge, but reservations are requested.
Economic Development Committee This group supports the City of Brookfield's Economic Development Committee. It allows the Chamber to represent "the Voice of Business" at City Hall.

This committee encourages interested businesses to register with the Chamber to receive City of Brookfield Common Council and Committee Meeting Agendas and Minutes by email.
Membership Committee The purpose of this committee is to improve retention and to insure that the needs of Chamber members are being addressed by current Chamber programs. Members of the Membership Committee will visit current members prior to their anniversary date to celebrate their Chamber membership, review membership benefits, and conduct a brief, personal survey.
This committee offers great exposure to many member businesses.
